Wear ANY sports gear (jerseys, Shish shirts, team hoodies, etc.) OR dress like your favorite Northern Lights athlete!

We’ll have a pep rally around 8:50am to send off our Northern Lights Volleyball team as they head to Regionals in Koyuk and our Wrestlers as they get ready for the Kotz Bush Brawl on Thursday. 🏐🤼‍♂️

📣 NOW HIRING: SHH CTE AIDE!
Shishmaref School is looking for a motivated, student-centered CTE Aide to join our Northern Lights team! 💜💚

This position supports our Career & Technical Education program — helping students gain real-world skills, hands-on learning experiences, and pathways into future careers.

📘 Position Details:
• 5 hrs/day – 170 days/year
• Classified Position
• Location: Shishmaref School

✨ Responsibilities Include:
• Assisting with CTE lessons & hands-on activities
• Supporting student skill development & career awareness
• Helping maintain a safe, positive learning environment
• Assisting with grading & progress monitoring
• Collaborating with staff to support a strong CTE program

✔️ Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Industry experience/certification in a CTE field OR 4+ years full-time experience
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting
• Positive, dependable, student-focused

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans – Tuesday, Nov. 11th at Shishmaref School 🇺🇸

We’re so grateful to share that, thanks to generous food and ingredient donations from our community, we will now be able to host a Veterans Lunch tomorrow! ❤️💙🤍

🍲 Lunch for Veterans & their plus-ones will be served at 11:45 AM.
Menu includes soup, spaghetti, rolls, and possibly a sweet treat for dessert.

Following lunch, please join us for our Veterans Recognition Assembly at 12:30 PM in the gym — featuring student tributes, videos, music, and heartfelt appreciation for those who have served.

We look forward to celebrating and honoring our Veterans together as a community. 💫

This visit is part of the Tundra Health Initiative, and Dr. Kapp will be providing no-cost vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses for all school-age students. 🕶👓
