We are honored to welcome our presenters and elders who are sharing their knowledge, stories, and culture with our students.
We would love to show our appreciation by providing warm, home-cooked meals during this special time.
We are asking for donations of meat, food items, or prepared dishes to help feed our presenters and elders.
Items we are looking for include:
* Meat (caribou, seal, fish, beef, etc.)
* Homemade/prepared dishes (soups, stews, baked goods, traditional foods, etc.)
* Dry goods (rice, flour, sugar)
* Canned goods
* Drinks/juice
If you are willing and able to donate, please message us or drop items off at the school.

We are excited to celebrate Inupiaq Days (April 15β17) and invite our Elders and community members to be part of this special time with our students.
We would be honored to have you come into the school to share your knowledge, skills, and stories. This is an opportunity for our students to learn directly from youβour culture bearers and leaders.
Some ideas of what you could share:
β¨ Traditional skills (sewing, beading, hunting/fishing knowledge, food prep)
β¨ Storytelling and cultural teachings
β¨ Inupiaq language
β¨ Land-based knowledge and lived experiences
We welcome all ideasβwhat you have to share is valuable. π
I also want to share that we are continuing to learn and understand it is more respectful to personally invite and ask individuals to participate, rather than having a general sign-up. We truly appreciate the guidance and support from our community.
Over the next few days, we will begin reaching out directly to Elders and community members to invite participation.

β‘οΈ An honorarium will be provided at the end of Inupiaq Days as a thank you
