Shishmaref School

🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 Veterans Day | Wednesday, November 11 ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸 Shishmaref Community, Veterans Day is coming up, and we would love to come together once again to honor and recognize our Shishmaref Veterans for their service, dedication, and sacrifices! 🇺🇸 Last year, our school staff and community came together to provide a wonderful meal for our Veterans, and it was truly special to see what we accomplished through everyone’s generosity and teamwork. We would love to make that happen again this year! ❤️ 🍽️ We are asking for our community’s help with food donations! Whether you’re able to donate ingredients, prepare a side dish, cook a main dish, make a dessert, or simply lend a helping hand, every contribution is appreciated and will help us provide a special meal for our Veterans. If you are willing and able to contribute, please reach out to Maggie or Frank at Shishmaref School so we can coordinate donations and meal preparations. 🇺🇸 Veterans Day Program We are also working on putting together a special program to recognize and celebrate our Veterans. Program details and times will be announced by Tuesday, November 10. Our Veterans have given so much, and this is one small way we can come together to show our gratitude and appreciation. Thank y’all so much for your continued generosity, support, and willingness to come together for our school and community! We couldn’t do these things without y'all! ❤️🤍💙 To all our Veterans, thank you for your service! 🇺🇸 💚🤍 Shishmaref School | Home of the Northern Lights

💚🤍 Shishmaref School | Visitor Check-In Reminder Good Afternoon, Shishmaref Families & Community! As a friendly reminder, ALL visitors, including parents, guardians, and community members, must report to the main office upon entering Shishmaref School. The safety and well-being of our students and staff will always be a priority. In accordance with BSSD Board Policy BP 5030 – School Discipline and Safety, we are committed to maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all students. Requiring visitors to check in at the office helps us: ✅ Know who is in our building at all times, especially in the event of an emergency. ✅ Maintain a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff. ✅ Minimize interruptions to classroom instruction. ✅ Ensure student checkouts, appointments, and early dismissals are properly coordinated through the office. Please remember: Even if you are only stopping by briefly, dropping something off, picking up your child, or visiting a classroom, we ask that you check in with the office first. We love having our families and community involved in our school, and we want everyone to feel welcome! These procedures are not meant to discourage visits, but to ensure we are doing our part to keep our students safe. Thank y’all for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support in keeping Shishmaref School a safe place for everyone. 💚🤍 Go Northern Lights!
