Shishmaref School will dismiss early today at 1:30 PM in order to allow students, staff, and families time to attend the funeral. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Olanna family and hold them in our thoughts during this difficult time. At the request of the family, Rec will be held this evening, pending availability of the Rec Supervisor. We will share an update as soon as confirmation is made. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our school and community.

MAPS Testing begins tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, and we’re kicking off a special Spirit Week to help our students feel confident, supported, and ready to do their BEST.
