We’re excited to kick off our ABC Countdown to the last 26 days of the school year! This is a fun and engaging way for our students and staff to celebrate, stay motivated, and continue Shining Bright like the Northern Lights as we head into summer ✨

🎉 Today is Day 1:
A — Arctic Animal Art Day 🐻‍❄️
Students are creating artwork featuring Arctic animals like walrus, seals, polar bears, foxes, and more!

👉 We’d love for our community to join in!
Encourage your child to share their artwork, or even create some at home together. Feel free to post and share with us — we love seeing the creativity!

💚💜 Community Support Needed – Inupiaq Days at Shishmaref School 💜💚 We are honored to welcome our presenters and elders who are sharing their knowledge, stories, and culture with our students. We would love to show our appreciation by providing warm, home-cooked meals during this special time. We are asking for donations of meat, food items, or prepared dishes to help feed our presenters and elders. Items we are looking for include: * Meat (caribou, seal, fish, beef, etc.) * Homemade/prepared dishes (soups, stews, baked goods, traditional foods, etc.) * Dry goods (rice, flour, sugar) * Canned goods * Drinks/juice If you are willing and able to donate, please message us or drop items off at the school.
